Human Ear Crochet Pattern

I know this is a weird one.  Three years ago for Halloween, a customer asked for an "Old Man Hat", so I had to come up with some realistic-looking crochet ears.  I wasn't finding any good patterns so I set out to make my own.  I thought these were too good and random to keep to myself...so without further ado, I present to you, my ears.

You may sell finished products made from this free pattern but please link back to this blog post.  In fact, after developing this pattern, I had a pair of leftover ears with no purpose, so I listed them on my Etsy page for $2, thinking nobody would buy them.  Somebody did.

And because I know you're all thinking, "What's an old man hat?"  This is my customer's son wearing his old man hat, complete with combover.  I hope you enjoyed my ears!  Please let me know in the comments!
